Choosing the songs

Many people ask how the Coga electronic car horn was developed and how the particular songs and sounds were chosen. It was a difficult task. In the beginning, surveys were done on the most popular songs and sounds that people wanted in a car horn. Boy did we get a surprise. Some people wanted talking horns, some wanted musical horns, some wanted tarzan car horns, some wanted dixie car horns (as on the Dukes of Hazzard car horn), some wanted animal car horns, some wanted caddyshack car horns, some wanted rooster car horns, dixie musical car horns, a general lee car horn, or just plain funny car horns and novelty car horns. Some people wanted automobile horns to play college fight songs, like the Notre Dame fight song, Texas fight song, Oklahoma fight song, Michigan fight song, etc. Some people just wanted the old familiar ahooga car horn sound, but no one could agree on how to spell it. We saw aooga car horns, aoogah car horns, aoogha car horns, oooga car horns, ahooga car horns, ahooogah car horns, ahoogah car horns, and ahoogha car horns, to name a few. Many wanted musicial car horns, load auto horns load car horns, la cucaracha car horns, la curcuracha car horns, or lacucaracha car horns. Some wanted extra loud car horns, car fog horns, air horns, car air horns, custom car horns, or automobile horns that play wav files or mp3 files. The problem is, there was no clear winner. That's when it hit us - let's provide many of the more popular songs and sounds, but make a recordable car horn or programmable car horn to let the user also record their own! So that's what we did with Coga.
